Alstom appointed Iñaki Rojo Managing Director of its Trápaga industrial site in Bizkaia, Spain. He also joins Alstom Spain’s Management Committee.
The Trápaga facility is one of Alstom’s main traction equipment manufacturing centers in Europe. It’s a 45,000-square-meter site that builds propulsion and electric traction systems for the full range of trains—locomotives, high-speed, regional, suburban, metros, monorails, trams.
Rojo’s been in rail since 2002, starting at Bombardier Transportation. He’s held roles in Quality, HR, and Continuous Improvement across Europe, Americas, Africa, and Asia. For the last 10 years, he ran Quality for the Trápaga site.
His key role is to lead industrial and technological development and strengthen its contribution to Alstom projects worldwide. The plant supplies traction systems globally.
